On October 23, 2025, Coke Florida’s Paul Baker, Manager, Field Service in the South Region, was honored during the opening ceremony and National Anthem of the Florida Panthers game as part of their Heroes Among Us series. The tribute included a special video recognizing his years of service in the U.S. Army.

Thank you, Paul, for your service and dedication – both to our country and to Coke Florida!

Before the game, veterans were treated to a lunch hosted by the Panthers organization. Rob Stevenson, Panthers COO and former Navy SEAL, shared heartfelt words of appreciation, and the honorees were invited onto the ice for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

When the video honoring Paul played and the crowd rose to their feet in applause, he said that’s when the moment truly hit him.

“The event was the most anyone’s ever done for me since I’ve left the military,” Paul said. “My wife and kids were with me, and I’ll never forget it. It was one of the best experiences that has happened to me in my life.”

A Worldly Life Experience

During his active duty, Paul helped establish communication systems for military operations, installing microwave telephone systems, running miles of cable, and building infrastructure for communication towers.

“When I decided to join the Army, I was going to DeVry Technical School and wanted to serve the nation, following in my father’s footsteps,” Paul said.

Paul was also interested in traveling the world and fulfilled that dream in the Army when he served in Germany, Hawaii, and Korea.

Dedicated to Service

Overall, Paul said his time in the Army shaped his commitment to teamwork, leadership, and service. As a Specialist/Team Chief, Paul was responsible for a team of 12 soldiers. He thrived by supporting his team because he felt like he was making a difference in the world through training and helping people. He brings that same sentiment to work every day at Coke Florida, making sure he makes a difference with each customer he interacts with.

“The discipline and skills I learned in the military are what helped me be successful throughout my career,” Paul said.

Paul has dedicated 31 years to the Coca-Cola system, working for Coca-Cola North America, Coca-Cola Enterprises, Coca-Cola Refreshments, and now Coca-Cola Beverages Florida. As a Field Service Manager, Paul leads the Equipment Service Department in South Florida and supports reactive service, warehouses, coolers, fountain equipment installation, and more for local and national customers.

“Our customers rely on us, and at Coke Florida, we do things the right way – I strive for perfection,” Paul said. “This is the most supportive place I’ve ever worked at, and I truly enjoy what I do.”

A Supportive Environment

While the crowd’s applause was unforgettable, the support and attendance of his wife and kids along with his Coke Family members was most important to Paul. He was moved at how many of his colleagues took the time out of their evening to attend the event and cheered him on.

Chad Wojcik, Customer Account Manager in Palm Beach, attended the game to support Paul and was touched by his powerful story and dedication to protecting the country.

“We are all grateful to have Paul in our lives,” Chad said. “The incredible support from his family, friends, and peers at the game was truly moving—it highlighted the profound impact Paul has on everyone he touches. Thank you, Paul, for your service. It was an honor to see you stand on the ice, saluting the American flag during the National Anthem.”
