Coke Florida will serve approximately 150 teachers and reach over 2,000 new students annually through Sustainability Superheroes, a professional development program that provides extensive sustainability training, mentorship, and resources for secondary school educators, across Coke Florida’s 47-county Florida footprint.
Sustainability Superheroes, developed in partnership with the University of South Florida (USF) Gus A. Stavros Center for Free Enterprise and Economic Education in 2019 with a $200,500 grant from The Coca-Cola Foundation. The program covers sustainability topics such as recycling, water stewardship, litter and waste reduction, and resiliency.
In 2022, the company extended funding for Sustainability Superheroes, empowering more K-12 educators to creatively introduce and incorporate sustainability topics into their school curriculum based on State of Florida standards.
