Coke Florida Breaks Ground on 20th Sponsored Habitat Home During America250
For many hardworking families, finding an affordable path to homeownership has become increasingly challenging in today’s housing market. Coca-Cola Beverages Florida, LLC (Coke Florida), a family-owned Coca-Cola bottler serving 47 Florida counties, believes everyone deserves the opportunity to build a stable future. That’s why we are proud to continue our long-standing partnership with Habitat for Humanity affiliates across Florida.
On September 21, 2026, we joined Habitat for Humanity of East Polk County in Lake Wales to celebrate the groundbreaking of the 20th home sponsored by Coke Florida in the state. Achieving this milestone during America250 reflects our ongoing commitment to expanding access to affordable homeownership and investing in the communities we serve.
“As we celebrate another milestone in our partnership with Habitat for Humanity, we’re proud to return to Polk County to break ground on our 20th sponsored home in Florida,” said Shannon Smith, Sr. Director, Community & Stakeholder Engagement for Coke Florida. “Homeownership remains a cornerstone of the American Dream, and through community investments like this, Coke Florida helps create opportunities for families to build lasting stability. We are grateful to Habitat for Humanity of East Polk County’s staff, dignitaries, local leaders, and community partners who joined us to kick off this new home build.”
Together with Habitat for Humanity of East Polk County, we look forward to helping another deserving family achieve the dream of homeownership when construction is completed later this year. As part of the partnership, Coke Florida is funding the home’s construction costs, including building materials, supplies, and skilled labor. In addition, our associates will contribute 200 hours of sweat equity, volunteering alongside Habitat throughout the build.
Each year, the Coca-Cola System invests more than $4 million in community initiatives across Florida, supporting programs that strengthen neighborhoods, create opportunity, and improve quality of life. Since 2018, Coke Florida has invested over $1.7 million in our partnership with Habitat for Humanity affiliates and has helped more Florida families build stability through homeownership.
