Busch Gardens® Tampa Bay partnered with Coca-Cola Beverages Florida, LLC (Coke Florida) to provide educational and interactive activities at park for Conservation Weekend, April 19-21. At Gwazi Plaza, Coke Florida hosted rain barrel painting and opportunities for visitors to experience the latest in recycling technology such as Reverse Vending Machines (RVM).
Park visitors painted 55-gallon Coke Florida recycled syrup drums that will be turned into rain barrels and installed around the park to collect rainwater and reduce stormwater runoff. They received sustainable straws for recycling empty plastic bottles into the RVM, helping us to collect the material to be used to make new plastic bottles.
