Florida’s waterways are more than destinations. They are the lifeblood of our communities, supporting local ecosystems, tourism, recreation and the natural resources that help our state thrive.

That’s why more than 220 Coke Florida associates joined family members, community partners and fellow volunteers this September in support of International Coastal Cleanup 2026, a global initiative dedicated to keeping beaches, waterways and coastal habitats free of litter and marine debris. The annual effort, led by International Coastal Cleanup, mobilizes volunteers around the world to protect oceans and waterways while increasing awareness of the impact pollution has on coastal environments.

As a Florida-based company serving communities across the state, environmental stewardship is an important part of Coke Florida’s commitment to making a positive difference. Water is essential not only to our business, but also to the health of the communities where we live, work and serve. Protecting waterways today helps preserve natural resources for future generations.

This year marked Coke Florida’s third annual Sustainability Territory Team Challenge, inspiring associates across our footprint to turn their passion for service into meaningful environmental impact.

Together, volunteers achieved impressive results:

  • 220 Coke Florida associates participated
  • 335 total volunteers engaged
  • 701.5 volunteer hours contributed
  • 5,478.56 pounds of litter and debris removed from Florida communities

The collective effort helped prevent thousands of pounds of waste from impacting beaches, waterways and wildlife habitats while creating cleaner, healthier public spaces for residents and visitors alike.

While the results are impressive, the lasting impact extends beyond a single day of service. Every item removed from a shoreline, canal, beach or waterway helps protect Florida’s natural beauty and contributes to healthier ecosystems throughout the state.

Thank you to every associate, family member and community partner who participated in this year’s cleanup efforts. Together, we’re helping create a cleaner, more sustainable Florida.
